European Championship in Renju 2012
Russia, Suzdal, Vladimir region, Suzdal Tourist Centre, 
August 14-24, 2012

I. Participants

• The top 15 places of previous EC ensure National Places.
• In addition to above mentioned 15 places, every RIF member country will have two extra places, and a non RIF member one extra place.
• The five best from the European Championship Qualification (ECQ) will get Personal Places in the EC.

II. The schedule:

Aug 14th:         Day of Arrival, Opening Ceremony of ECQ
Aug 15th:         09.00, 13.00, 17.00 – Round 1, Round 2, Round 3
Aug 16th:         10.00, 14.30 – Round 4, Round 5
Aug 17th:         10.00, 14.30 – Round 6, Round 7
Aug 18th:         18.00 – Opening Ceremony of EC
Aug 19th:         10.00, 14.30 – Round 1, Round 2
Aug 20th:        10.00, 14.30 – Round 3, Round 4
Aug 21st:        10.00, 14.30 – Round 5, Round 6
Aug 22nd:        10.00, 14.30 – Round 7, Round 8
Aug 23th:        10.00, 14.30 – Round 9
Closing ceremony
Aug 24th:        Departure of players

III. Technical regulations

a. There will be 9 rounds in Swiss system in the tournament.

b. Time control:

ECQ 90 minutes per player + 30 seconds per move.
EC 120 minutes per player + 30 seconds per move.

c. Opening rules: Taraguchi rules

IV. Tie-break criteria

In case of same number of game points, the following criteria will be used:

1) Middle Buchholz coefficient;
2) Berger coefficient;
3) Personal match between the players;
4) Number of wins.

If all criteria are same, then players will share place, except top three places. If players will share top three places, extra game(s) will be used. The Judges Council will decide the time control for extra game(s) not less than 20 min.

V. Prizes

The winner is the European Champion for 2012. Players placed first, second and third will be awarded respectively with cups and medals.

VI. Accomodation

a. All participants, coaches and delegations’ members are obliged to stay in official hotel:

Suzdal, Vladimir region, Suzdal Tourist Centre, Korovniki st., 45.

Single room – 1860 Rub per night (~47 euro).
Double room – 1180 Rub/1 person per night (~30 euro).
Motel (2+1) – 1050 Rub/1 person per night (~27 euro).
Motel (2+2) – 980 Rub/1 person per night (~25 euro).
Include meal (3 times per day).

b. All games will be in the Playing Hall situated at the Suzdal Tourist Centre.

c. Accommodation and travel expenses are covered by the participants, federations or their sponsors.

VII. Tournament fee: 20 euro.

VIII. Registration – deadline 8 July 2012

a. The registration must include the following information: Country/Federation, last name, first name, birth date, the passport details of every player, coach. It must also include the name, phone, e-mail of the Delegation Chief.

b. Visas:

All participants (or the Delegation Chief) applying for a visa must sent the form F1A and copy of the passport (the pages with the photograph and main data) to the Organizer.

c. All participants must should have an medical insurance.

d. The registration forms (http://renju.org.ru/competitions/ivitation/) must be sent to the Organizer by the e-mail: renjurus@gmail.com before July 8, 2012.
